NCEA Level 1 Geography

Course Description

In this course, we will learn about geographical skills and extreme natural events; specifically the 2010 Haiti earthquake and its impacts on both the cultural and natural environments. 

The course will also focus on geographic issues such as; global patterns of the illegal ivory trade, Auckland's future population issues and our city's risk of a volcanic eruption as well as a field trip to complete geographic research.

Through this course, your understanding and application of the geographic concepts of perspectives, change, interaction, sustainability, patterns and processes will be developed across the year.
