NCEA Level 1 Spanish

Year 11 Spanish is all about gaining more freedom with the language so that you become confident in talking about the things that you want to talk about. Got a football star that you really love? A musician who you can’t get enough of? A hobby that you are devoted to? Then Year 11 Spanish will set you up for communicating about the things you are passionate about. 

Cultural competence is also an important part of the Year 11 course, so experiencing the food, dance, music, festivals and film of Spanish-speaking countries is included in your studies this year. If you are thinking of going travelling later in life or working overseas, Spanish is the language that unlocks those opportunities in over 20 different countries in the world.
