NCEA Level 2 Mathematics General

Course Description

This course includes a blend of Mathematics and Statistics, with all standards assessed internally.

You will be required to write TWO statistical reports, Experiment and Inference.

We will complete research in the context of the assessment data, develop a purpose statement and question, analyse the data, supported by NZGrapher software, and then write a conclusion to summarise your findings and answer your question.

You will design and administer a Questionnaire and your findings will be presented in a report which includes a reflection on the process.

You will extend your understanding of algebraic processes by learning about Coordinate Geometry and Trigonometry, and gain a deeper understanding of Probability by using simulations.
