Year 9 Dance
Course Description
You will learn a variety of performance skills and techniques through various genres such as Hip Hop, Contemporary and Salsa. There will be the opportunity to choreograph in small groups, pairs and as individuals to help you explore how to communicate through your body. There is a large focus on interpersonal skills and communicating with others.
We will spend time watching dance and observing how to use the elements of dance to best communicate with our audience. There may be the opportunity to perform in the Junior Arts showcase and to watch a live dance performance.
All assessments are performed in front of peers and a camera so we can reflect on our learning.
Contributions and Equipment/ Stationary - Costs are applicable for Adult students only

Off site activities approximately: $25
There may be an opportunity to extend learning with visits to live performances or attend specialist workshops in school.
