NCEA Level 2 Product Design
Course Description
Product Design
This course builds on the academic, creative and practical skills we covered in Level 1 Product Design.
We will identify a need or solve real issues in today’s society, working alongside real clients and a range of stakeholders.
This includes working creatively and analytically to identify, trial and evaluate possible solutions, and eventually putting our ideas into practice through modelling, prototyping and manufacturing.
This course leads to Level 3 Product Design and/or Level 3 Construction.
Recommended Prior Learning
You will have gained at least 12 credits in Level 1 Product Design and/or Design and Visual Communication, or will have an interview with the HOD to determine the suitability of the course for your desired career pathway.
