Course Description

Fashion and Design

This is an academic and practical based course where students will learn about technological processes associated with soft materials which will be completed over three projects.

The first is a skills-based project, aimed at building confidence in advanced construction procedures.

In the second project, students begin by learning to develop a conceptual design using the design process.

The third and final project aims to implement advanced pattern making adaptations to an existing pattern and manufacture a working sample.

Students end the course with a Fashion Show held at the Technology Exhibition, an opportunity to exhibit their work at Te Uru Art Gallery and Lynn Mall
