Course Description
Geography
In Level 2 Geography we will explore geographic topics at a global and regional scale.
We will learn about natural processes which have created the Tongariro volcanic landscape, including visiting the region to conduct geographic research.
In addition we will also be learning about; global patterns of maritime piracy, Music Patterns in New York (disco, punk, hip-hop) and the issues around how New Zealand will become predator free by 2050.
Your understanding and application of the geographic concepts of perspectives, change, interaction, sustainability, patterns and processes will be developed across the year.
Recommended Prior Learning
You should have at least 14 credits from 01 Geography, an interest in the course, and approval from the Social Sciences Head of Department.
