NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Māori
Course Description
This course aims to develop your creative skills through learning about traditional Māori conventions of Māori storytelling. We will also explore the importance and relevance of purākau Māori within a contemporary context.
In this course, you will examine the principles of positive Māori leadership through researching tangata rongonui | prominent Māori leaders.
You will listen to and read information, ideas, and opinions through increasingly complex, varied and authentic te reo Māori materials. You will communicate with increased confidence about local and global community issues where relevant.
Recommended Prior Learning
You will have at least 14 credits from Level 2 Te Reo Māori and an interest in the course, or approval from the Head of Department.
