Year 10 Sports Studies
Course Description
This course offers an extensive look at the ‘Sports of the World’.
For example, you may be involved in a variety of sports which can include – AFL (Australian Rules), Squash, Sevens Rugby, Tchoukball, Ultimate Frisbee, Skateboarding, Tennis, and American Football.
The emphasis is on knowledge of sport; tactical and strategic thinking and analysis; and elements of fair play through participation.
Fitness studies and lifestyle concepts are also covered in depth.
Theoretical components are included in the course with a focus on sporting diet and nutrition, sports psychology, and the ‘growing leaders’ leadership award.
Contributions and Equipment/ Stationary - Costs are applicable for Adult students only
There may be an opportunity to extend learning with field trips $50
